A key bridge on Cunningham Creek Road in Hornellsville will shut down June 30 for a major construction project, according to Steuben County officials. The closure will last about 16 weeks, weather permitting.
Located between Windfall Road and Route 29, the bridge—known locally as part of the Canisteo-Hornell back road—will be replaced with a concrete box culvert to improve safety and durability. No onsite detour will be provided during construction.
The project, overseen by the county Department of Public Works, aims to ensure the long-term stability of the structure, which spans Cunningham Creek.
