Cayuga County WIC program offers summer coupon pickups at Auburn Farmers’ Market

The Cayuga County Health Department has announced a series of summer dates for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program participants to pick up farmers’ market coupons at the Auburn Farmers’ Market. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to expand access to fresh, local produce for families in need.

Eligible WIC participants can pick up their coupons on eight scheduled dates between June 24 and July 24. The distribution will take place in the parking lot across from Curley’s Restaurant. Staff from the Cornell Cooperative Extension’s SNAP-Ed Program will also be present, offering free nutrition resources and items.

  • July 8 and 10: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • July 17, 22, and 24: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Families receiving Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF automatically qualify for WIC benefits. New federal income guidelines effective through June 30, 2026, outline eligibility based on household size. For instance, a family of four must have a gross annual income below $59,478 to qualify.
