Cayuga Lake Wine Trail launches summer of live music

Sunset concerts, brunch-time beats, and lawnside acoustics are setting the tone this summer on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Member wineries are hosting live music nearly every day of the week, transforming the region into a seasonal hub of sound and wine.

The performances span from mellow Thursday evenings to vibrant Sunday afternoons, offering locals and visitors alike a chance to enjoy music paired with wine, slushies, local fare, and vineyard views.

Each Thursday, Lucas Vineyards kicks off “Nautie Summer Nights” from 6 to 8:30 p.m., featuring family-friendly music on the lawn with food, wine slushies, and beer. Six Mile Creek offers its “Sunset Music Series” from 6 to 8 p.m., where guests can picnic while sipping wine—outside alcohol not permitted. At Montezuma Winery, “Summer Sips & Sounds” pairs tunes with fudge and wine selections.

Fridays heat up mid-July with Buttonwood Grove’s live music, served alongside wine and Taste of Soul Food Truck offerings.

On Saturdays, Knapp Winery’s “Knapp Sessions” run from 2 to 5 p.m., offering lunch from Field & Vine with live sets. Buttonwood Grove adds a Saturday installment starting later in July, inviting guests to unwind hillside from 2 to 5 p.m.

Sundays bring a trio of events. Brunch music at Field & Vine runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by “Music & Mimosas” at Hosmer Winery from 1 to 4 p.m., which sometimes precedes Vinyasa in the Vineyard yoga. Americana Vineyards hosts “Music Under the Pavilion” from 2 to 4 p.m., or indoors during inclement weather.

Organizers promise a diverse lineup that mirrors the region’s wine: “vibrant, varied, and full of flavor.” Performances range from acoustic to jazz, soul, and rock.

Visitors are encouraged to explore, sip, and sway through the Finger Lakes’ oldest wine trail. “With so many unique experiences—from lawn concerts to brunch-time jams—there’s always a reason to come back for more.”
