Ten-year-old Kendelle Reed from Addison is being celebrated for her heartfelt mission to support local veterans, according to WENY. Kendelle launched a donation drive in April to collect socks, t-shirts, underwear, and hygiene items for the Bath VA—and quickly exceeded her goal of 230 items per category.
With help from her parents, volunteers, and local businesses, Kendelle’s project drew community-wide support. Her generosity has already earned her a Citizen of the Year award and a special recognition event hosted by Addison officials.
Village leaders say her compassion is inspiring and believe her actions will leave a lasting impact on the community.
