The Middlesex Heritage Group will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Overackers Schoolhouse with a free community event and family fun day on Saturday, July 12.
The event kicks off with a community picnic at noon, followed by festivities from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the schoolhouse, located at the corner of State Route 364 and North Vine Valley Road in Middlesex.
Activities include a door raffle, food, children’s games, a scavenger hunt, petting zoo, face painting, crafts, vendor booths, and prizes. Organizers say the event is designed to honor the schoolhouse’s long history while providing a fun, family-friendly afternoon for all ages.
