An 18-year-old Dundee man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged possession and distribution of sexually explicit material involving minors.
Marcus W. Chilson, of 27 Harpending Avenue, was arrested on June 12 by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of possession of a sexual performance by a child and disseminating indecent material to minors in the second degree.
The charges stem from an investigation into inappropriate online communications. Authorities allege Chilson harassed or coerced a juvenile from the Town of Benton into sending explicit photographs. Investigators later found images depicting sexual conduct involving minors on an electronic device belonging to Chilson. Some of those images had reportedly been transferred to others, including another minor.
Chilson was arraigned in CAP Court on a warrant issued by the Town of Starkey Court and was released to appear at a later date.
