Geneva General Hospital has announced the election of Dr. Margaret-Mary Ameyaw as Chief of Medical Staff, a leadership role that extends through April 2027.
Dr. Ameyaw, a board-certified internist and hospitalist, will also serve on the Board of Directors for UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health. She currently leads the hospital’s Hospital Medicine Department and most recently held the position of Associate Chief of Medical Staff.
A graduate of the University of Ghana Medical School, Dr. Ameyaw completed her internal medicine residency at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center in New York. She has been with Geneva General Hospital since 2006.
UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is a regional system offering acute and long-term care across Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates Counties.
