The City of Canandaigua Police Department made several arrests in late May and early June, ranging from driving while intoxicated to physical assaults and criminal mischief.
Two drivers were arrested for DWI during a checkpoint on North Main Street on May 25. At 12:24 a.m., Darryn A. Bradt, 28, of Hilliard, Ohio, was taken into custody after showing signs of intoxication and failing field sobriety tests. About 30 minutes later, Steven M. Tack, 46, of Newark, was arrested under similar circumstances. Both were issued appearance tickets.
On May 26, Jacob Bartosh, 20, of Canandaigua, was arrested for aggravated harassment after allegedly threatening to harm someone and damage their property during a phone call. Two days later, Jadon Treese, 24, was arrested for criminal mischief after reportedly damaging a flower pot and bar stools at a South Main Street business.
Jessica Gleeson, 36, was arrested on May 29 on a bench warrant for a prior grand larceny charge. Later that night, Robert Bergman, 37, was arrested after allegedly smashing a store window with his elbow.
On June 1, two individuals were arrested following separate disturbances at a Clark Street residence. Christopher Vanderwall, 39, was charged with harassment for allegedly threatening to kill someone, while Olivia H. Plain, 18, was charged with harassment for reportedly striking another person and causing a scratch on their neck.
On June 2, Wayne J. Bynoe, 69, was arrested for assault and harassment after allegedly grabbing and bruising someone’s arm and striking the same person in the knee with a heavy bottle.
Russell H. Lindquist, 40, of Conesus, was arrested on June 4 for criminal contempt after reportedly violating an order of protection by entering a home on Perry Place.
In a June 5 incident, Maddison P. Grobost, 31, of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, was arrested under Leandra’s Law for DWI while allegedly driving intoxicated with a child in the car and without headlights after dark.
Finally, Jordan Wicks, 19, of Shortsville, was served a criminal summons on June 6 for harassment, accused of punching another person during a dispute at the City Pier on May 27.
All individuals are scheduled to appear in City of Canandaigua Court at later dates.
