Top-seeded Bloomfield dominated on the diamond to advance to the Class C1 Softball Final behind Ashlyn Wright’s 16-strikeout, one-hit performance. Lyons softball fell to Warsaw, closing out a stellar 20-win season. On the baseball side, Geneseo and Genesee Valley-Belfast each earned narrow semifinal wins, ending strong postseason runs for Bloomfield and Gananda.
In girls’ lacrosse, Palmyra-Macedon exploded for 22 goals to move on to the Class C title game, while Victor cruised past Irondequoit to secure a spot in the Class B Final.

The Tigers closed out their season with a 12-8 record, highlighted by postseason victories over No. 6 Hornell and No. 2 Aquinas.
Class C1 Semifinals

Ashlyn Wright dominated in the circle for the Bombers, striking out 16 and allowing just one hit over six scoreless innings after giving up an unearned run in the first. She also contributed at the plate with a sacrifice fly and an RBI double. Cece Falsone delivered a clutch two-run single in the third, while Brianna Leitten launched a two-run homer to extend Bloomfield’s lead. Sydney Falsone led the offense with three hits, and Wright, Leitten, and Sawyer Gallup each added two. The Bombers will face Warsaw in the Class C1 Final on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Despite outhitting the Tigers 11-8, the Lions couldn’t overcome defensive miscues that resulted in a season-ending loss. Jayla Bell, Peyton Bonnell, and Rylee Richardson each tallied two hits, while Addison VanLare drove in two runs. Keira Weber struck out eight over six innings but was tagged with the loss as Lyons allowed multiple unearned runs. Warsaw’s Madalyn Schurr had two hits and an RBI double, and Olivia Parker earned the win with a complete-game effort. The Lions finished their season with a 20-2 record.
