Nurse practitioner joins Thompson Internal Medicine in Farmington

UR Medicine Thompson Health has welcomed Jennifer Gephart to its Internal Medicine practice in Farmington, expanding its primary care team with a highly trained and locally rooted provider.

Gephart, a Waterloo resident, is a certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s in nursing education, and a post-master’s AGPCNP certificate from Keuka College.

At the Farmington office, Gephart joins Drs. Wilfredo Cruz and Reihaneh Derafsh, along with Family Nurse Practitioner Katie Schaeffer McCool. The practice is currently accepting new patients.

Gephart previously served as an AGPCNP with Finger Lakes Health and taught in the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES nursing program. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked at Thompson as both an RN Supervisor and a Quality Control Coordinator.
