A vehicle swerved off a rural road in Galen late Saturday night, ending in a ditch and leading to the arrest of a Rochester man for driving while intoxicated.
Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael G. Vigelette, 75, of Falmouth Street in Greece, after determining he was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
The incident occurred on May 25 at 11:45 p.m., when Vigelette allegedly left the roadway and drove into a ditch. He was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where a chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08%.
Authorities processed and released Vigelette on uniform traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court at a later date.
