Cayuga Film Festival opens submissions for 5th annual event

The Cayuga Film Festival is now accepting submissions for its fifth annual showcase, inviting student and emerging filmmakers across New York State to share their work.

The festival, which runs in partnership with Cayuga Community College and Auburn Public Theater, is set to take place on April 18, 2026. Submissions will be accepted from January 1 through November 1, 2025.

This year’s categories include Documentary, Fiction, Short Animation, Experimental, High School, College, Emerging, and Open. Organizers say the event “provides a space for films to be screened and seen,” highlighting projects by high school, college, and independent creators.

Selected filmmakers will be notified by February 5, 2026. Entries must be submitted through FilmFreeway at filmfreeway.com/cayugafilmfestival. More information is available at cayugafilmfestival.com.
