Parking restrictions announced for Waterloo Memorial Day events

Drivers in Waterloo are being advised of temporary parking restrictions this weekend due to Memorial Day celebrations.

The Village of Waterloo Police Department announced that no parking will be allowed on certain Main Street routes during scheduled events on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25. The restrictions will affect both East and West Main Streets during the morning and afternoon hours.

On Saturday, from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, parking is prohibited on the south shoulder of East and West Main Streets between Locust and Church Streets. This restriction supports the Celebrate Commemorate Memorial Day Parade.

On Sunday, from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no parking will be allowed on East and West Main Streets between Seneca and Church Streets, as well as on North Virginia Street from Main Street to Williams Street. This restriction is in place for the “Wheels on Main Street” car show.

Officials thanked residents and visitors for their cooperation during the events.
