Free breast cancer screenings offered in Ithaca

A mobile mammogram clinic will visit Ithaca on June 4, offering free or low-cost breast cancer screenings to eligible patients, according to The Ithaca Voice. The clinic, coordinated by Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, will be stationed outside Tompkins County Whole Health from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Screenings are available without insurance or a doctor referral, though appointments are recommended. Patients must be over 40 or meet high-risk criteria. The service is part of a statewide effort to improve cancer screening access.

While this clinic focuses on mammograms, the New York State Cancer Services Program offers year-round screenings for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer.
