Dundee school voters approves $28M project

  • Staff Report

Voters overwhelmingly approved a $28 million capital project in a Yates County school district on Monday, with the measure passing 186-67. According to Dundee Central School District officials, the plan will not raise local taxes.

Most of the funding will come from state building aid and capital reserves, with a small portion drawn from district resources. The project aims to upgrade school safety, modernize STEM, arts, and athletic spaces, and address infrastructure needs like HVAC systems.

Superintendent Chris Wood said the timing is ideal, with funding secured and costs rising annually. Community members can arrange facility tours to learn more.
