A late-night crash on Ridge Road in Williamson led deputies to charge a Rochester man with driving while intoxicated.
Deputies arrested 56-year-old Richard Freitas after his vehicle collided with a parked car around 2:24 a.m. Monday. Authorities say he was heading eastbound at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported.
Deputies transported Freitas to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing, where he refused to take a chemical test. He was charged with DWI and issued additional traffic citations.
Freitas was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await CAPS arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Williamson Court at a later date.
