The First Baptist Church of Penfield is once again opening its doors for a community breakfast with a cause. On Saturday, March 15, from 8 to 10 a.m., the church will host its Flapjack Benefit Breakfast, with all proceeds going directly to support the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf.
Attendees can enjoy a hearty meal of pancakes, pure maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, apple topping, whipped cream, and coffee. The cost is $10 per person and $5 for children, with sugar-free syrup available. The church is fully handicap accessible.
The Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf provides emergency food assistance to residents in the 14625 and 14526 zip codes, as well as families of students in Penfield schools. Donations will also be gratefully accepted at the event.
