Clyde man arrested for bail jumping after multiple missed court dates

A Clyde man was arrested last month after repeatedly failing to appear in court for a forgery-related charge, according to the Waterloo Police Department.

William B. Brownlee, 41, was taken into custody at approximately 5:08 p.m. on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Waterloo Court. He was subsequently charged with bail jumping in the third degree.

Police say Brownlee was originally charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree. After being released on his own recognizance, he failed to appear in court three times, leading to the additional bail jumping charge.

Brownlee was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he is being held pending arraignment. No further details were provided by authorities.
