The Newfield Board of Education is involving the community in its search for a new superintendent to replace Eric Hartz, who will retire in June 2025. A public input session is scheduled for April 8, allowing stakeholders to meet and interview final candidates.
Led by TST BOCES Superintendent Lily Talcott, the semi-confidential search includes community feedback gathered through surveys and meetings. Participants can submit applications by March 21 to take part in the selection process.
The district seeks a leader with strong decision-making skills, transparency, and a commitment to student success. The new superintendent is expected to be appointed in the spring and will officially begin on July 1.
