The Canandaigua Police Department has announced the resumption of downtown parking enforcement following the completion of updated signage reflecting new parking regulations.
Timed parking enforcement had been temporarily suspended to allow for the transition, but officers will now strictly enforce the revised parking rules. Motorists are urged to follow posted signs to avoid penalties.
While on-street parking on South Main Street remains limited to 90 minutes, the city has expanded parking time limits in municipal lots to accommodate longer visits. The updated regulations aim to balance accessibility for short-term visitors while providing more flexibility for those needing extended parking.
