A Macedon man was arrested on multiple charges following a rollover crash on Quaker Road, where authorities say he was driving while intoxicated.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 52-year-old Chad R. Wellott after responding to a motor vehicle accident on February 28. According to deputies, Wellott was traveling westbound when he failed to maintain his lane, crossed the center line, and rolled his vehicle into a yard.
During the investigation, deputies observed signs of intoxication. Due to injuries sustained in the crash, Wellott submitted to a blood draw, which revealed a blood alcohol content of .097%, above the legal limit.
Wellott was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a .08% BAC or higher, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, moving from a lane unsafely, and operating a vehicle without a license.
After being processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wellott was issued uniform traffic tickets and released. He is scheduled to appear in Macedon Town Court at a later date for arraignment.
