Kiwanis Club of Canandaigua to host 11th annual Chef & Sip Challenge

Food and drink enthusiasts will have the chance to sample some of the best flavors the Finger Lakes has to offer at the 11th annual Chef & Sip Challenge, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Canandaigua. The event takes place on Sunday, March 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hotel Canandaigua, located at 205 Lakeshore Blvd.

Attendees can enjoy sample-sized dishes from local chefs and bakers, along with tastings of wine, beer, and spirits from regional businesses. Participants will compete for recognition in multiple categories, giving guests the opportunity to experience a wide range of culinary talent.

Every dollar raised from the event goes directly into the Kiwanis project fund, supporting initiatives such as the Inclusion in Motion Playground, the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Canandaigua Elementary, scholarships, and the Salvation Army Christmas Party.

Beyond food and drink, the event will feature dozens of silent auction items, including high-end vacation packages. One lucky attendee will win a seven-night luxury trip for four to the Bahamas, valued at nearly $3,000.

In past years, the challenge has raised more than $12,000, thanks to the support of sponsors, donors, and attendees.

Tickets are available in advance for $40 per person or $70 per couple. At the door, tickets are $45 per person or $80 per couple. They can be purchased online, through any Canandaigua Kiwanian, or at several local businesses, including Lyons National Bank (Canandaigua), Wolfe Insurance Agency, Canandaigua National Bank, Community Bank, Sights & Shades, and Elks Club #1844. More details and ticket purchases are available at CanandaiguaKiwanis.org.
