The Village of Bath secured $4.5 million in NY Forward funding to enhance its downtown, focusing on public spaces, amenities, and housing. The funding aims to attract visitors, retain residents, and strengthen the village’s role as a gateway to Keuka Lake.
Officials will now create a Strategic Investment Plan to determine project priorities. A Local Planning Committee, with input from state and private sector experts, will guide the effort. Priority will go to projects that can be quickly implemented and maximize the state’s investment.
Gov. Kathy Hochul emphasized the funding’s role in revitalizing Southern Tier communities, alongside grants for Dryden and Binghamton. Leaders hope the improvements will drive economic growth and make Bath a vibrant destination.
