Newark Drama Club brings ‘Mamma Mia’ to the stage

The Newark Drama Club is set to present the beloved musical “Mamma Mia” this weekend, promising an energetic show filled with ABBA’s greatest hits. Directed and choreographed by Emily Howard, the production features a large, talented cast and lively dance numbers that will have audiences singing along.


Performances will take place at the Newark High School Auditorium on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $7 for adults. The show’s music is led by Kate Flock, with a Pit Band directed by Rebekah Valerio.

Howard praised the cast’s mix of experienced seniors and enthusiastic newcomers, ensuring a dynamic and entertaining performance. Audiences can expect a high-energy production that leaves them dancing out of the theater.
