For the second consecutive week, New York’s average gas price remains largely unchanged at $3.08 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Prices have dropped about 2 cents since last month and are 4% lower than the $3.21 average from a year ago.
Statewide gas prices have fluctuated between $3.04 and $3.64 over the past year. Currently, New York’s average is slightly below the national average of $3.12 per gallon, which has also seen a minor decline.
Drivers can expect stable prices for now, though fluctuations may occur as the year progresses.
