A $13 million endowment from the Dimond family will fund scholarships at Cornell’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration, supporting first-generation and high-achieving students with financial need. Their gift, part of Cornell’s “To Do the Greatest Good” campaign, unlocked an additional $2.5 million through a university matching program.
In recognition, the Nolan deanship will be renamed the Dimond Family Dean. Navin and Rita Dimond, alongside daughters Ashley ’14 and Sonja ’19, aim to expand opportunities through education, inspired by their own backgrounds.
The family’s philanthropic commitment reflects their belief in education’s transformative power. Having benefited from opportunities in the hospitality industry, they are paying it forward to help future generations succeed.
