A Seneca Falls woman has been arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband after authorities say she was found in possession of an unauthorized substance while incarcerated.
Jessica M. Hopf, 35, was taken into custody on February 21 at approximately 3:30 p.m. following an investigation at the Seneca County Correctional Facility. Sheriff’s investigators allege that an illicit substance was discovered on her person during her time in custody.
Hopf was formally charged with promoting prison contraband in the second degree and was held for arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest but did not disclose further details regarding the nature of the contraband.
