Watkins Glen High School has appointed longtime educator James (Jamie) Harter as interim principal, effective March 1. The decision was made during a special meeting of the Watkins Glen School Board on Monday evening.
Harter most recently served as interim athletic director at Horseheads. Before that, he held interim assistant principal roles at both WGHS in 2023 and Watkins Glen Elementary School throughout the 2023-24 school year.
He steps in for Kyle Colunio, who will leave the position to become superintendent of the South Seneca School District.
