Authorities have arrested an East Rochester man in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that occurred in Rochester. Police say 51-year-old Bruce Bugbee struck a bicyclist with a 2019 Chevy Silverado before fleeing. Investigators believe he was intoxicated and had a child in the vehicle at the time.
New York State Police later located both Bugbee and the Silverado at a residence in Ontario County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Bugbee faces multiple charges, including second-degree vehicular manslaughter and aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
