Williamson man arrested for DWI after vehicle veers off road in Sodus: BAC was nearly 3x limit

A Williamson man was arrested early Sunday morning on multiple charges, including aggravated driving while intoxicated, after deputies found his vehicle off the roadway in the Town of Sodus.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Keandrea D. Wigent, 20, of State Route 104, following an investigation into a civilian complaint about a vehicle that had left the road on S. Geneva Road.

Upon arrival, deputies detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Wigent and conducted field sobriety tests. A subsequent chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of .21%, nearly three times the legal limit.

Wigent faces charges of driving while intoxicated common law, aggravated DWI, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle. He was released on Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
