Spring training in full swing at Practice Time Sports

As the seasons change, young athletes in baseball, softball, and lacrosse are heading to Practice Time Sports to fine-tune their skills ahead of spring competition. The facility, known for its state-of-the-art training equipment and flexible practice spaces, is seeing a surge in activity as athletes of all levels prepare for the upcoming season.

“Our baseball and softball players are focusing on tee work, soft toss drills, and mechanics to build consistency and confidence,” said Chris Harris, founder of Practice Time Sports. “With our HitTrax system, they can analyze their swings using real-time metrics like exit velocity, launch angle, and distance, helping them set measurable goals and track progress.”

Meanwhile, lacrosse players are sharpening their footwork, catching, stick-handling, and shooting techniques. The facility also provides space for goalies to work on reaction time and positioning, ensuring they enter the season prepared.

With two full batting cages, a dedicated pitching tunnel, and a multi-use turf space, the facility offers young athletes a climate-controlled environment to practice uninterrupted, regardless of weather conditions. The end of February through mid-March marks a busy time for spring training, as athletes finish winter sports and shift focus toward outdoor competition.

“Spring sports require more than just physical ability; they demand timing, mechanics, and confidence,” Harris added. “By training in the off-season, athletes ensure they don’t just step onto the field—they step onto it prepared to compete.”
