A Wednesday night fire destroyed a home in the Hamlet of Adrian, leaving one person injured. The blaze broke out on County Route 199 just before 9 p.m., according to the Canisteo Fire Department, and took five hours to extinguish.
The injured individual was transported to a local hospital, though their condition remains unknown. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. Multiple fire departments, including North Hornell, Howard, Greenwood, Arkport, and Cameron, assisted in battling the flames.
Officials urge residents to remain cautious as the investigation continues.
