A planned press conference between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Trump’s Ukraine envoy, Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, was canceled Thursday at the request of U.S. officials, according to a Kyiv spokesperson.
Kellogg’s visit came amid tensions between Zelenskyy and Trump, who recently exchanged sharp criticisms. Their strained relationship has raised concerns about continued U.S. support for Ukraine’s war effort.
While no official reason was given for the cancellation, the meeting proceeded behind closed doors, with the two leaders initially greeting each other before discussions on Trump’s proposed plan to end the war.
