Sodus man arrested following domestic incident investigation

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Sodus man following an investigation into a domestic incident that took place early Tuesday morning.

Deputies responded to the incident in the Village of Sodus and arrested 19-year-old Jamar Ortiz of Main Street. He has been charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of obstruction of governmental administration, and one count of resisting arrest.


Authorities have not released specific details about the nature of the domestic incident. However, their investigation led to Ortiz’s arrest, and he was scheduled to appear for CAP arraignment at 7:00 a.m. on February 18.
