The Ithaca Police Department continues investigating a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian early Saturday on Spencer Road. The victim, struck around 12:30 a.m., remains in stable condition at Robert Packer Hospital.
Police Chief Tom Kelly told The Ithaca Voice on Monday that the victim was hit after being dropped off at home and stepping into the roadway. Witnesses reported the driver never slowed down and sped north.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage but have yet to identify the driver or vehicle.
