The Milo Town Board held a special meeting last to discuss pending litigation and personnel matters, ultimately voting to retain a legal firm for representation.
Supervisor Leslie Church called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. at Town Hall, with all board members present. The board quickly moved into executive session at 1:05 p.m. to deliberate on legal issues and the employment history of a specific individual.
After nearly 90 minutes behind closed doors, the board reconvened at 2:43 p.m. and unanimously passed Resolution 08-2025, authorizing Supervisor Church to sign a letter of engagement with Hodgson Russ Attorneys.
The resolution names Daniel Spitzer, a partner at the firm, as the attorney handling the matter. The Town is facing legal action from the Village of Penn Yan over property for a housing project.
With no additional business on the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 2:47 p.m.
