Auburn Community Hospital Foundation raises record $150,000 at annual gala

The Auburn Community Hospital Foundation’s annual gala set a fundraising record, bringing in more than $150,000 to support the Auburn Heart and Vascular Institute and the construction of a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

Held at the Emerson Park Pavilion, the “Best is Yet to Come” gala drew approximately 325 attendees, all contributing to the hospital’s expanding cardiovascular care initiatives. The event was part of a larger effort to enhance Auburn Community Hospital’s services, including a $50 million capital campaign titled “Health With Heart.” The campaign aims to build two new operating rooms and further develop the Heart and Vascular Institute.

“I am grateful for the generosity of so many who made our gala a success. Our Auburn Heart and Vascular Institute is growing, thriving, and providing phenomenal care to our patients,” said Auburn Community Hospital President and CEO Scott A. Berlucchi.

Auburn Community Hospital Board of Trustees Chairman Anthony D. Franceschelli echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the community’s role in shaping the hospital’s future. “With your ongoing support, we are confident in our ability to shape Auburn Community Hospital into an integrated health care system that will serve our community for generations to come,” he said.

Gala Co-Chair Shannon Sherburne praised the hospital’s impact, calling it a “truly special” institution in the Auburn community. Dr. Alan Sherburne, also a Gala Co-Chair, added, “The best is yet to come for us.”

The foundation’s next major fundraiser, a charity golf tournament, will take place on September 8 at the Skaneateles Country Club. Event details will be available soon at AuburnHospital.org.
