Turnout was significant to a fundraiser at the VFW Post 6200 near Ovid to support victims of a catastrophic fire. Community member Kelsy Thorn, who lost her home, expressed hope despite ongoing challenges. The event included music, raffles, and food to gather donations.

Vice Commander Tom O’Hara Jr. emphasized the unity that defines the village. Resident Kathy Irwin underscored the critical need for rebuilding essential businesses, including a grocery store, to restore normalcy.
