With the second half of winter in full swing, Practice Time Sports is bringing the community together through sports and friendly competition. Chris Harris, owner of Practice Time Sports, has exciting events lined up as the facility gears up for spring.
One of the highlights of the season is the Cornhole League, set to begin on Friday, February 7th. The league will run for six weeks, with the first five weeks dedicated to round-robin matches to rank the teams. The excitement will culminate in a bracket-style playoff during the final week, where the top three teams will be crowned champions.
“We’re still looking for teams to join,” Harris said. “The league can host up to 14 teams, but we’d like to have at least eight to bring some variety to the competition. A lot of my cornhole events are also on the Scoreholio app, which has been a great tool as I learn more about the cornhole world.”
The cornhole league offers an excellent opportunity for locals to stay active, have fun, and connect with others during the winter months.
In addition to the cornhole league, Practice Time Sports is planning youth baseball and softball clinics in March and April to help kids prepare for the upcoming Little League season in May. While exact dates and times are yet to be finalized, these clinics will provide valuable training for young athletes eager to get back on the field. Details of these opportunities are going to be announced in the coming weeks on Practice Time Sports’ Facebook page.
Practice Time Sports continues to be a hub for community sports and recreation in Canandaigua, offering events and programs for all ages. Whether you’re aiming to sharpen your cornhole skills or get your kids ready for the baseball season, or looking for a space to host a party there’s something for everyone.
