A well-established gastroenterology practice in Canandaigua has officially joined UR Medicine Thompson Health, expanding access to specialized care in the region.
The practice, now called Thompson Health Gastroenterology, is located at 3170 West Street, Suite 201, and has been serving the community since 2000. It was originally founded by Dr. Raymond M. Thomas, who has been affiliated with F.F. Thompson Hospital since 1995. Dr. Thomas, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology and hepatology, is a University of Rochester alumnus who completed his medical training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Joining Dr. Thomas are Nurse Practitioners Louise Linke and Allison VanPutte, who previously worked alongside him at the practice’s former Parrish Street location. Linke, a gerontological nurse practitioner, earned her master’s degree from Nazareth University in Rochester and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. VanPutte, an adult nurse practitioner, holds degrees from Syracuse University and the University of Rochester and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Thompson Health Gastroenterology is now welcoming new patients, further strengthening the network’s commitment to providing comprehensive care to the community.
