Alcohol companies pivot to non-alcoholic drinks amid health trends

Facing declining alcohol consumption, major beer and spirits companies are expanding their non-alcoholic offerings to appeal to health-conscious consumers, especially younger generations.

Companies like Molson Coors, Anheuser-Busch InBev, and Diageo are investing heavily in zero-proof alternatives, with products like Budweiser Zero, Ritual Zero Proof, and non-alcoholic wines gaining traction. Sales of non-alcoholic beer alone have surged over 100% since 2021.

This shift reflects changing attitudes, with nearly half of Americans viewing daily drinking as unhealthy. Industry leaders see non-alcoholic beverages as a growth market, forecasting billions in increased revenue by 2028.
