The Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department in Rochester is set to debut a $75,000 utility task vehicle (UTV) designed to aid in rescues in difficult-to-access locations, regardless of weather. The funding came from ARPA grants awarded in June.
Officials determined the all-terrain vehicle would be the best use of the grant. The department plans to demonstrate the UTV’s capabilities on Thursday.
This new addition will enhance the department’s ability to respond swiftly in emergencies, improving rescue efforts for the local community.
