The next event in the Lake Country Hometown Music Series at Christ Episcopal Church in Willard is the annual “Songs and Stories for the Christmas Season,” featuring the a cappella group So Noted. The concert will take place on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at 1392 Main Street. Admission is free, thanks to a Delavan Foundation grant. A reception with Santa, hot chocolate, and cookies will follow in the Parish Hall.
So Noted, led by Charles King, is a 10-member a cappella group from the Finger Lakes known for their blend of traditional, jazz, pop, and show tunes. Formed in 2017, the group’s repertoire includes original arrangements and showcases their diverse musical backgrounds. Sunday’s concert will feature holiday songs, interwoven with seasonal poems and stories, including a reading from “Duke’s Christmas Stories for All Ages” by Robert “Duke” Gerlach. A Christmas carol sing-along will close the event.
“We are thrilled to have So Noted join us this year,” said Averell Bauder, Co-Warden of the Vestry. “We hope families can experience the spirit of the season with music, stories, and a visit from Santa.” For more information, contact Bauder at 607-896-9819 or [email protected].
