A Canandaigua man faces multiple charges, including grand larceny and impaired driving, after allegedly stealing a dump truck and being involved in a physical altercation, police said.
Ronald L. Sennett Jr., 28, of the Town of Canandaigua, was arrested on December 9 following an investigation by the Canandaigua Police Department. Officials say Sennett stole the dump truck from a local business between 9 a.m. and noon.

Later that day, officers responded to a reported altercation on South Main Street. During their investigation, they identified Sennett as one of the individuals involved in the fight and found him in possession of the stolen vehicle. Police say Sennett showed signs of drug impairment and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI), a charge made more severe due to a prior conviction.
Sennett’s charges include grand larceny in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, and several vehicle and traffic law violations. He was processed and taken to Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment.
