The Village of Waterloo has submitted a list of 13 proposed projects totaling $16 million for its Downtown Revitalization Initiative, according to the state. With only $10 million in grant funding available, officials must trim the list to meet budget constraints and state criteria.
The proposals include renovating local landmarks like the American Legion and Main Street buildings, creating a food and entertainment hub, and expanding the community center and library. Other plans focus on improving public spaces and establishing a grant fund to support ongoing revitalization.
State leaders will decide which projects will move forward, aiming to maximize impact while adhering to financial limitations.
