An Aurora, Illinois family is celebrating Thanksgiving with a special guest this year—a mail carrier who came to their father’s rescue. Guy and Marcia Miller invited Jaylen Lockhart, a 26-year-old substitute carrier, and his family after Lockhart helped Guy Miller during a fall on November 16.
Lockhart, spotting Miller struggling while walking his dog, Bentley, quickly intervened, alerted neighbors, and ensured Miller returned home safely. Their bond grew after the Millers connected with Lockhart the next day, and now they’re sharing the holiday with games, good food, and gratitude.
