A Montour Falls woman was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges, including grand larceny and coercion, following an investigation by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
Jamie A. Mowry, 45, was charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, and Coercion in the 3rd Degree. Authorities allege that Mowry stole money from another individual through extortion.
Mowry was held for arraignment in Schuyler County’s Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP) Court. Additional details about the case or the amount of money involved have not been released at this time.
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the matter.
