The Town of Canandaigua is inviting residents to showcase their creativity by participating in a contest to name snow plows for the upcoming 2024-2025 winter season.
The contest encourages community members to submit original names that reflect Canandaigua’s spirit. Submissions must adhere to specific rules, including being under 20 characters, avoiding profanity or copyrighted content, and maintaining originality. Residents are allowed up to three entries, and submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, and appeal.
Fifteen finalists will be selected by town representatives and then posted on the Town of Canandaigua’s Facebook page for public voting. The names with the most “likes” will be featured on the snow plows throughout the winter.
Entries can be submitted via email to scirencione@townofcanandaigua.org. The town emphasizes that early submissions will take precedence in cases of duplicate names, and only residents are eligible to participate.
