Members of the Canandaigua Professional Firefighters I.A.F.F. Local 2098, along with their families, volunteered at the Salvation Army donation station in Parkway Plaza this weekend, raising funds for the organization during the holiday season.
The firefighters dedicated several hours to supporting the cause, interacting with donors and encouraging the community to give generously. Their efforts contributed to what the firefighters described as an “incredibly successful” day of fundraising.
“We’re so thankful to our community for their generosity and for helping make today such a success,” the Canandaigua Firefighters wrote in a statement.
The Salvation Army’s donation station will remain at Parkway Plaza throughout the holiday season, and the firefighters encouraged residents to consider supporting the organization’s mission of assisting those in need.
