The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has demystified one of its most famous UFO cases, the “GOFAST” video. Initially appearing to show an object speeding above water, the 2016 footage, captured near Florida by a USS Theodore Roosevelt fighter jet, was found to be less extraordinary.
AARO Director Dr. Jon Kosloski told Congress the object was at 13,000 feet, not near the water, attributing its puzzling motion to a visual effect called parallax. Still, former pilot Ryan Graves called for further investigation, citing additional aerial objects seen during the incident.
Kosloski also addressed other resolved cases and ongoing investigations into phenomena like an “orange orb” and a “metallic cylinder.” His office is analyzing 21 cases identified in the annual report as having enough data to pursue.
